Dr Tahu Kukutai
Dr Tahu Kukutai is Associate Professor at the National Institute of Demographic and Economic Analysis at the University of Waikato. She specialises in Māori and Indigenous demographic research and has written extensively on issues of Māori population change, identity, and inequality. Tahu is a founding member of Te Mana Raraunga, the Māori Data Sovereignty network and is Vice President of the Population Association of New Zealand. Her iwi affiliations are Waikato, Ngāti Maniapoto and Te Aupōuri.
